Sorry for the delay in providing a health update. It has been a busy couple of months.

The Parkinson’s is progressing, but am happy that it is a slow progression. I am now taking 1 1/2 pills of levodopa 5 times per day, for a total of 7 1/2 pills per day. Increased the frequency of doses from 4 times per day to 5 times per day, since I was having more “off time” (time between the wearing off of the levodopa to my next scheduled dose).

I had a few rough weeks in May, with lots of “brain fog” in the morning. Mistakenly, I thought this was due to me not having enough dopamine, so I increased my levodopa dosage. I was up to 3 pills per dose. Turns out I actually was over medicating myself, which appearantly can cause brain fog similiar to what happens when my dosage is too low.

I was happy to finally figure this out, and was extremely happy that my need for medication did not increase. Was worried about that.

Trying to take a short nap every day after lunch. A 15-30 minute nap seems to help prevent fatique later in the day.

Mom and I really appreciate all of you being there for us. This was really evident to me during our time in MN to spread Dad’s ashes. Thank you!!
